St. Andrews, Scotland

My senior year of high school, I applied to be part of the Scotland Exchange Program between my high school and a school in St. Andrews, Scotland. My sister had done the program two years before me, and I had no doubt in my mind I wanted to do the same. In the fall, the Scots came and stayed with us for 10 days, then we went over our spring break and lived with them for 10 days. St. Andrews is  a small, adorable town, and despite the fact that it was cold and rainy the day I took most of these pictures, I'm dying to go back. Whether you like to golf or are simply a huge fan of Will and Kate, who met at the University of St. Andrews, it's a great day trip and just a short train ride away from Edinburgh!
