Monuts Donuts

I was introduced to a new favorite breakfast spot and only have 3 months left to enjoy it. Uh oh.
It's called Monuts Donuts and is over in Durham, about a 20 minute drive.
I went last weekend with Maggie and Eliza and we haven't stopped thinking about it since. Not kidding. When we first drove up, there was a line out the door, and it was still there when we left. Monuts Donuts is a small, eclectic breakfast spot that features ~7 different types of innovative donuts each day along with some really deliciously unique bagel sandwiches. So naturally, you should get a couple of donuts to share with friends and a bagel sandwich. It's the only way to properly do Monuts Donuts.
We shared four donuts:
Chocolate Chai, Apple Cider, Banana Cardomom, and Almond Joyful.
Three people, four donuts.. yolo?
My bagel sandwich was called The Smokey Goat:
Toasted bagel sandwich with melty rosemary goat cheese, housemade smokey beet-onion jam, bacon, lemon-honey arugula & a local egg (over easy).
...Are you drooling yet?
Did I mention that they have exposed brick walls, twinkly lights lining the ceiling, chalkboards, braised kale (!!!) in some of their sandwiches, Counter Culture Coffee, assorted mugs (which unfortunately means you might get a Duke one, but I can look past that..) and table numbers with dinosaurs featuring fun facts about each species? I'm making a new resolution to be as cool as Monuts.
Needless to say, this is on the top of my list to take visitors in the next few months, and myself.
